SupaTeams

Administer SupaTeams

Manage edition access, workspace policy and media configuration.

How to do it

  1. In Platform Admin → Editions, enable SupaTeams for Business or Enterprise and set storage per business. The defaults are 10 GiB and 100 GiB, respectively.
  2. In the BU workspace, open Employees & HR → SupaTeams with Settings permission to configure directory visibility, conversation creation, attachments, storage, calling, work hours, notifications and retention.
  3. In Platform Admin → Platform settings → SupaTeams, enter the LiveKit Cloud Project URL, API key and API secret from the same project. Enable audio calls, video calls or both and save. For hosting-managed credentials, set LIVEKIT_URL, LIVEKIT_API_KEY and LIVEKIT_API_SECRET in the site runtime. Store the API key and secret as hosting secrets, publish the site, then enable calling and save in Platform Admin. Credentials saved in Platform Admin take precedence.
  4. Use the displayed diagnostic and support reference to troubleshoot. Revoke exposed keys in LiveKit Cloud and use a replacement pair.
  5. In the BU workspace, check the Audio and video calls switch under SupaTeams.
  6. For push notifications, use the existing encrypted SupaChrome push credentials and configure the existing marketing scheduler for reminders and retention.

Check your result

Verify two eligible users in separate devices can exchange messages and join a test call. Check that a user outside the BU cannot access the conversation or meeting link.

Good to know

Attachment previews cover supported media and PDF. Office and ZIP attachments are downloaded. Background ringing is an alert followed by opening the app.
