Configure country pay rules and percentage salaries
Split a gross monthly salary into earnings and deductions using business-defined percentages.
How to do it
- Open People → Payroll → Country pay rules and choose a two-letter country code.
- Set base, housing and other earnings percentages so they total 100. Set the retirement or PF contribution range and basis, plus withholding and other deduction percentages. Review the sample calculation and save.
- Select an employee in Payroll, choose Percentage of gross, set their country and gross monthly amount, and save. Create a draft payroll run to check the statement.
Check your result
The business rule applies only to employees whose salary mode is Percentage of gross. Updating a rule recalculates affected draft statements; approved or recorded payslips stay fixed. Fixed salary profiles continue to use entered amounts.
Good to know
The country code organizes your own policy; SupaPeople does not supply legal rates, calculate statutory liability, exchange currencies or remit deductions. Have a qualified payroll adviser verify every configured rate.
