Submit and review a resignation

Resolve missing profile or approval setup and follow the three-stage review.

How to do it

  1. Lifecycle Setup shows the saved HR manager and founder. This business-wide setup is separate from each employee’s reporting line. If an employee warning remains, read the exact missing manager or self-approval issue and use its corresponding action.
  2. Open the employee workspace → Documents → Resignation. If Employee profile required appears, HR must create your employee record with the work email used for sign-in.
  3. Before submission, assign the employee reporting manager in Directory and configure the resignation HR manager and founder in Lifecycle & documents → Setup. No approver may be the resigning employee.
  4. Choose a valid last working day and enter the resignation and handover note. Submit once. Approval proceeds through Manager, HR manager and Founder.
  5. Assigned approvers review the pending step, confirm the date and enter a review note. The request status and each decision remain visible in Resignation.
  6. After final approval, the employee becomes Resigned and an offboarding checklist opens. Complete its required documents and offboarding confirmation to end staff access.

Check your result

A Resignation tab with no profile or requests shows an explanation rather than a blank panel. Only the assigned reviewer may approve the current step.

Good to know

HR cannot submit as another employee. Notice and former-employee access follow the business configuration.
