Manage subscriber identity

Connect an email destination to a stable subscriber and optional Contact.

How to do it

  1. Open Subscribers and search by email, subscriber key or internal ID.
  2. Open the subscriber record; review the internal ID, email and linked Contact.
  3. With Manage Subscribers permission, set a unique subscriber key, optionally using a matching Contact record ID, then save.

Check your result

The immutable internal subscriber ID links past and future delivery events while the visible key can change.

Good to know

The Contact email must match; changing the visible key never changes past delivery identity.
