Access and security
Sign in and out of employee portals
Use employee email codes for store operations and end shared-browser access safely.
How to do it
- Share the store-specific SupaTill link /till/YOUR-BU-CODE with cashiers. The generic /till entry also accepts a business code and opens the same sign-in screen.
- Create the employee with their work email and assign an active access profile containing POS view and POS operations. Employee-only accounts receive a six-digit, single-use email code; linked BU accounts continue to use BU sign-in.
- Choose Sign out in the portal header before another employee uses the device. Sign out is available in POS, employee self-service, People administration and the missing-employee-profile screen.
- Signing out ends this browser’s employee, approved-owner and matching BU session. It also clears the displayed workspace. Sessions on other devices and in other businesses are retained.
- A parked basket is saved server-side, but unsaved billing fields are cleared on sign-out. Park the basket first if another cashier must resume it.
Check your result
After sign-out, refreshing the store-specific portal shows sign-in. A new employee must authenticate with their own registered email and code.
Good to know
Do not share verification codes. Delivery depends on the business email service. An employee record and assigned portal access are required.
