Understand store totals and tax

See the amount a customer will pay before confirming checkout.

How to do it

  1. Set the product selling price and tax rate in Products.
  2. Open the store or checkout and check the item price and any shipping charge.
  3. Enter an optional coupon code and choose Check. An eligible code shows the discount and final total; invalid or assigned codes show a reason before payment.
  4. A product selling price includes its configured tax; tax is recorded inside that price on the resulting order, not added again.

Check your result

For a product displayed at ₹30,000 with 18% tax and free shipping, the checkout amount is ₹30,000 before coupons. Checkout validates the coupon and stock again when the order begins.

Good to know

Existing paid orders retain the amount captured at the time of purchase. Review those transactions before considering any adjustment or refund.
