SupaTeams
Set up encrypted SupaTeams messaging
New messages, voice clips and attachments are encrypted on the sending device.
How to do it
- Open SupaTeams and choose Message encryption. Create your key, save the recovery code somewhere secure, and confirm setup.
- Ask your colleagues to set up encryption before sending to them. Use Conversation members → Show encryption fingerprints and compare fingerprints through a trusted channel when needed.
- On a new device, use your recovery code to unlock your messages. Use Remember this trusted device only on devices you control.
- Search loaded messages and files on your device. Load older messages in a conversation to extend the search.
Check your result
Once everyone has set up their keys, send a test message to a colleague and verify both devices can read it.
Good to know
Earlier messages and attachments retain their original protection. Call media uses separate LiveKit transport security. The recovery code is needed if you lose access to all trusted devices.
